Thaddeus Ladd is presently the Chief Scientist of the Computational Physics Division at HRL Laboratories, as well as the head of the Quantum Theory and Simulation department.

Thaddeus is a career researcher in the general topics of quantum computation and quantum communication, with emphasis on semiconductor spin qubits for the former and semiconductor photonics for the latter.  Thaddeus began research on silicon-based quantum computing in 1998 as a Fellow of the Fannie and John Hertz Foundation.   He received his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Stanford University in 2005, and continued research in the Ginzton laboratory while employed by the University of Tokyo and later the National Institute of Informatics.  He began at HRL Laboratories in late 2009 where he has worked since.

Thaddeus generally avoids social media, but maintains a brief, nearly empty profile and some posts at LinkedIn.  The present webpage is occasionally maintained as a brief, algorithm-free, untamed capture of a few professional and personal aspects of Thaddeus professional and personal life.
